Well, I finally decided to venture into the blogosphere to keep a record of our little veg-head's adventures. I'm not sure how E's obsession with veggies developed, but it doesn't show any signs of abating. We still have to limit his play time with veggies to the weekends, and force him out of the house on Saturday mornings with reassurances that he won't miss the veggie truck.
This weekend's great finds: an eggplant with a nose, and a curvy summer squash.
Right now, E's favorite things to do are "plant" the veggies, then deliver them in one of his trucks. We then get to "eat" them, before he takes them back to the farm.
We've added a new twist this weekend — part of the kitchen is Italy and part is France. We were talking about Italy on Friday (I don't remember how it came up, but it was while we were walking to the yarn store after dinner). Anyway, I explained that Italy was a country where they liked food — especially some of the things we really like.
"Like what, Mommy?"
"Oh, like pasta and tomatoes and eggplants. And parmesan cheese is from Italy."
"Oh Mama, I'd LOVE IT there! Let's go visit." ("Mama" seems to come out when he's excited.)
Thus began our interest in Italy.
Anyway, I hope some day E will enjoy reading all of these stories about his life as a child. I can't think of a better way to capture and share these funny moments with our far-flung family and friends.
Enjoy!

Thanks for the tale - one question - you explained Italy - but why France? (if you told me before I forgot :-)
He knows about France from watching the Tour, so I explained Italy's location as being "next to" France. (Plus, he knows they have good food in France, too.)
